Job Description
The Maasai Mara Sacco Society Ltd was registered in 2011 under Co-operative Society Act Cap 490 of the Laws of Kenya, as a non-deposit taking Sacco with current membership of approximately 400 members. It has an asset base of Ksh.170 million and offers financial products and services such as loans and savings to members within the common bond under "Back Office Services Activities" (BOSA).
The SACCO Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing daily operations, ensuring financial sustainability, marketing and driving growth in line with the Sacco's vision and mission. The CEO reports to the Board of Directors and works closely with stakeholders to enhance member value, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strategic marketing initiatives to ensure growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the SACCO
Oversee daily operations and ensure financial sustainability
Ensure regulatory compliance with SASRA and other authorities
Drive marketing and business development initiatives
Manage and supervise staff to ensure operational efficiency
Work closely with Board of Directors on strategic planning
Enhance member value through improved products and services
Implement financial controls and risk management procedures
Foster stakeholder relationships and partnerships
Lead digital transformation and technology adoption
Minimum Qualifications
A master degree in business related field
Must be a CPA (K)
Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting/Co-operative management
Five (5) years of practical experience in a Sacco environment with at least three years (3) experience in management of Sacco FOSA operations
Digital & Technological Competence with Proficient in SACCO operation softwares
